Safran launches aircraft engine lubrication subsidiary in Morocco
Safran has established a new subsidiary in Morocco, Systems Oil Safran Maroc, dedicated to the design, production, and marketing of lubrication systems for aircraft engines. Located within the Midparc industrial platform in the Nouaceur free zone, the company was officially registered in Casablanca following its constitution in July 2026.
The entity is fully owned by the Belgian subsidiary Safran Aero Boosters and holds a share capital of 108 million dirhams. The facility will focus on manufacturing lubrication units, oil tanks, and related components essential for the storage, circulation, and cooling of oil within turbofan engines.
This move expands Safran’s industrial footprint in Morocco, which already includes activities in cabling, nacelles, maintenance, and the assembly of LEAP engines. While the specific production capacity, industrial timeline, and exact number of jobs created have not yet been disclosed, the project represents a continued upward shift in the group’s technological activities within the Moroccan aerospace ecosystem.
