Saga Asia Dreams manager to join Global Sports Coexistence Symposium

Yoshito Katsuki, manager of the Saga Asia Dreams professional baseball team, has been invited to participate in the ‘Global Sports Coexistence Symposium’ scheduled for October 2, 2026. The event will be held at the International Conference Room of the House of Representatives First Members' Office Building in Tokyo.

The symposium is organized by the National Association for Supporting the Coexistence of Foreign Human Resources (NAGOMi). It aims to foster national discussion regarding the establishment of a basic law for an orderly coexistence society with foreign nationals. The session will focus on how sports can revitalize local communities and educational settings while promoting multicultural coexistence.

Key speakers include Takeshi Okada, Vice Chairman of the Japan Football Association, and other notable figures from the sports and diplomatic sectors. Katsuki was selected as a practitioner of foreign coexistence due to the unique environment of the Saga Asia Dreams, a professional baseball team composed of players from various Asian nations, including Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Cambodia, Pakistan, India, and South Korea, who live and train together despite linguistic and cultural differences.
