Saga City and JASSO announce scholarship support and recruitment

Saga City has announced a scholarship repayment support program for young professionals working at local companies. Eligible applicants must be under 30, have an annual income below 2.6 million yen, and intend to reside in the city for at least one year. The program provides up to 200,000 yen annually, covering half of the repayment amount, for a maximum of five years, totaling up to 1 million yen.

Separately, the Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) is conducting its second round of recruitment for scholarship recipients for the 2026 academic year. This includes both grant-type and loan-type scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students. The recruitment process involves specific application windows for document collection, submission, and online registration via the ScholarNet system.
