SAGA Metals signs sale agreement for North Wind iron ore project in Labrador

SAGA Metals Corp. announced the signing of a sale agreement with Orion Iron Ore Ltd. for the North Wind iron ore project located in the Labrador Trough, a geologically significant corridor extending from northern Quebec to Labrador. The deal gives SAGA a stake in Orion, a board seat and a royalty, while Orion aims to develop the project and pursue a stock market listing within the next 12 months. CEO Mike Stier said the transaction reflects SAGA’s disciplined approach to creating shareholder value through non‑dilutive measures and reinforces its focus on critical mineral assets. The Labrador Trough has produced over 3 billion tonnes of iron ore since the 1950s and continues to support active mining and exploration.
