Saga Prefecture athletes excel at Kinki Inter-High Championships

Saga Prefecture athletes achieved significant success at the Kinki Inter-High School Championships, with 45 individuals and groups placing within the top eight across 31 disciplines.

Notable achievements include Takeo High School winning its first national title in women's Shorinji Kempo after 18 years of club history. In canoeing, Yurara Hanaoka from Kanzaki secured double victories in the women's kayak single 200m and 500m events for the second consecutive year. Other top performers included Kazuma Akiyama in men's boxing and Nanami Sakata in Naginata.

The championships, held across the Kinki region, featured various disciplines including rhythmic gymnastics, softball, judo, and track and field.
