Sagawa Express signs disaster relief and transport agreements

Sagawa Express has entered into new cooperation agreements to enhance logistics and support during emergencies.

On August 24, Sagawa Express and the Japan Self-Defense Forces Joint Staff Office signed a transport cooperation agreement. The partnership aims to establish a rapid and smooth transport system for the Self-Defense Forces during high-urgency events such as natural disasters. The cooperation will utilize various methods, including land, rail, sea, and air transport. During non-emergency periods, the parties will engage in regular information exchanges to maintain operational readiness.

Additionally, Sagawa Express has signed a comprehensive partnership agreement with Odate City in Akita Prefecture. This agreement focuses on disaster countermeasures, such as delivering relief supplies to evacuation centers, as well as regional safety, tourism support, and the efficient collection and distribution of local agricultural products.
