Saguenay bridge project gains support from Quebec political candidates

Political candidates from various parties, including the Parti Québécois, the Conservative Party of Quebec, and Coalition Avenir Québec, have expressed support for constructing a bridge over the Saguenay.

During a meeting in Sept-Îles, the Coalition Union 138—a group representing municipalities, Indigenous communities, and chambers of commerce—presented an electoral compass to track political commitments on the project. Guillaume Tremblay, spokesperson for the coalition, stated that while the project is widely supported, the group is now seeking specific details from political parties regarding the next steps and timelines for the infrastructure over the coming four years.
