Sahagún judge sets trial date for triple homicide of cattle rancher
A judge in Sahagún has scheduled the trial for November 18 at 2:30 p.m. for Cristian Mauricio Petro Almanza and Juan Fernando Soto Garcés. The two defendants face charges including aggravated homicide, qualified and aggravated theft, illegal possession of firearms, and destruction of evidence.

The victims were identified as cattle rancher Esteban Rafael Urueta González and his employees, Fredys Manuel Beleño Acosta and Gerardo de los Santos Marzola Coronado. The incident took place while the group was investigating the disappearance of 700 head of cattle.
Following the crime, the victims' bodies were found incinerated and buried. The suspects were apprehended by Police and CTI in the Nuevo Bosque neighborhood of Cartagena after being on the run for over ten days.
