Sahinbey Municipality announces 1 billion TL student support

Sahinbey Mayor Mehmet Tahmazoglu has announced a 1 billion TL cash support program for university students in Gaziantep. The initiative aims to assist both new and continuing students with their educational expenses.

Under the program, students will receive payments ranging from 33,000 TL to 66,000 TL based on their academic success. Approximately 30,000 students have applied for the support.

Payments are scheduled to begin on Monday, October 26, 2026, and are expected to be completed by November 9, 2026. The municipality intends to deposit funds directly into the accounts of students who have completed the review process.
