Sai Kishore leads Tamil Nadu to Ranji Trophy victory

Tamil Nadu captain Sai Kishore led his team to an innings and 66-run victory over Uttarakhand in their second-round Elite Group D Ranji Trophy match at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. Kishore delivered a standout performance, taking 6 for 34, which included a first-class cricket hat-trick. He finished the match with a total haul of 10 for 74.

Ajith Ram supported the effort with 4 for 33 in his return from injury. The victory, bolstered by a century from Pradosh Ranjan Paul and a century partnership with B Indrajith, brings Tamil Nadu to eight points from two games.

Kishore noted that his recent experience playing for Gloucestershire in the English County Championship helped refine his skills and patience. He expressed satisfaction in achieving a first-class hat-trick, noting it matched the achievement of his coach, Ram Kumar.
