Sai Pallavi cast as IPS officer in Dhanush film OM: Chapter 1

Actress Sai Pallavi has been introduced as Nithya Reddy, an IPS officer, in the upcoming action thriller OM: Chapter 1 – Udhiram – The Blood Wood. Directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, the film stars Dhanush and Mammootty.

Nithya Reddy’s character begins her career as an Assistant Superintendent of Police in Andhra Pradesh before rising to the rank of Additional Superintendent in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Her role involves working with Interpol to lead Operation OM, an investigation into the illegal red sandalwood trade. The character is driven by a personal connection to the cause, as her father, an Indian Forest Service officer, was killed while on duty.

Following the character reveal, Sai Pallavi stated that she sees her “alter ego” in Nithya Reddy. The film, which was originally scheduled for an October release, has been postponed and is now slated to hit screens on November 20.
