Sai University holds third convocation in Chennai

Sai University held its third convocation on September 19, 2026, at its campus in Chennai, India. The ceremony conferred degrees upon 72 graduating students, with 50 from the School of Computing and Data Science and 22 from the School of Arts and Sciences.

Natarajan Chandrasekaran, Chairman of Tata Sons, attended as the chief guest and delivered the convocation address. He noted that India is entering a period of economic growth that could be “unparalleled in our own history and unparalleled with any part of the world,” despite the challenges posed by AI, technology, and regulatory changes. He advised graduates to maintain momentum by pursuing both long-term goals and short-term achievements.

The event was presided over by Founder and Chancellor K. V. Ramani, with Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ajith Abraham presenting the university’s annual report. Other notable attendees included N. R. Narayana Murthy and various distinguished figures from academia and industry.
