Saidia Music Festival concludes its inaugural edition in Morocco

The inaugural edition of the Saidia Music Festival concluded in Morocco after a five-day event held from August 5 to 9. Hosted at the Marina Saidia, the festival featured a diverse lineup of Moroccan artists performing various musical styles, ranging from contemporary pop to traditional folk and Reggada.

Festival director Mohamed Tijini stated that the event successfully met its primary objective of using culture and music as drivers for tourism and economic development in Saidia. He emphasized that the city possesses significant potential beyond its summer beach season, capable of hosting major cultural events that stimulate the local economy and create employment opportunities.

The festival aimed to position Saidia as a multifaceted destination for art, culture, and entertainment, rather than just a seasonal seaside resort. Organizers expressed intentions to establish the festival as an annual event to strengthen the Oriental region's presence on the national and Mediterranean festival maps.
