Vietnam tourism arrivals reach 19.5 million in first 10 months
Vietnam welcomed 19.5 million international visitors during the first ten months of 2026, representing a 13.8% increase compared to the same period in 2025. In October alone, the country saw 1.85 million arrivals, a 7% year-on-year increase.
China remains the largest source market with nearly 4.4 million arrivals, followed by South Korea with 3.4 million, Russia with 1.25 million, and Taiwan with 1.07 million. Asia accounts for approximately 75% of total arrivals, while Europe recorded the strongest growth rate at 51.5%.
Key drivers for this growth include favorable visa policies, enhanced security, and diverse tourism products. Cultural events, such as performances by the group Big Bang in Hanoi, also contributed to the influx. Additionally, the rise of the “workation” trend is driving long-term stays from digital nomads, particularly in coastal cities like Nha Trang.
To further expand international reach, Saigontourist Group is partnering with Vietnam Airlines to promote Vietnamese tourism at the WTM London 2026 exhibition. The group aims to strengthen two-way travel exchanges with the United Kingdom and European markets.
