Sail and BHEL Launch 2026 Apprentice Recruitment Drives in India

The Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) announced an apprenticeship recruitment for its Rourkela steel plant, opening 1,110 positions across trade (421), diploma (414) and graduate (275) categories. Applications are accepted online from 17 July to 26 August 2026 via the NAPS and NATS portals, with candidates aged 18‑28 meeting specific educational criteria.

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) also issued a call for apprentices, selecting candidates through direct walk‑in interviews rather than a written exam. Interviews are scheduled for 6‑8 August 2026 for various engineering streams, and successful trainees will receive a monthly stipend of ₹17,500. Both recruitment drives aim to address youth unemployment by providing one‑year training programs in key industrial sectors.
