SAIL documentary to premiere at Venice Film Festival

The documentary ‘SAIL’ is scheduled to premiere alongside the Venice Film Festival on September 11, 2026. Directed by Academy Award winners Frank Marshall and Evan Hayes, the film provides a behind-the-scenes look at the Louis Vuitton 37th America’s Cup held in Barcelona in 2024.

Produced with support from Skydance Productions and the America’s Cup broadcast team, the documentary features unprecedented access to teams, sailors, and principals. It utilizes IMAX-certified digital cameras and onboard footage to capture the high-speed racing of yachts capable of exceeding 100 km/h. The film explores the psychological pressure and human ambition involved in the competition, featuring prominent figures such as Emirates Team New Zealand CEO Grant Dalton.
