SailGP returns to Lake Geneva for final European leg

The Rolex SailGP Championship returns to Lake Geneva on September 19-20 for the Rolex Switzerland Sail Grand Prix. This event marks the 11th of 13 races in the current season and serves as the final European stop before the circuit moves to the United Arab Emirates for the season finale in Abu Dhabi.

Competing on the unique and changeable breezes of Lake Geneva, the Red Bull Italy SailGP Team enters the weekend following strong performances in Valencia. Meanwhile, the U.S. SailGP Team has announced that double Olympic champion Martine Grael will replace driver Taylor Canfield, who is sidelined due to a broken collarbone sustained in a bicycle accident.

The race features F50 catamarans navigating a course positioned in front of the Geneva waterfront. Most teams remain mathematically in contention for a place in the winner-takes-all Grand Final, with only Australia’s Bonds Flying Roos already confirmed.
