Sailing competitions held in Abra and Ría de Vigo

Several sailing competitions are taking place in Spain. At the Trofeo José Luis Ugarte held in the waters of Abra, the Real Club Náutico de San Sebastián saw significant participation with over 30 sailors across the ILCA 4, ILCA 6, 420, and Optimist classes. Due to a lack of wind on Sunday, only the three races completed on Saturday determined the final rankings. Notable podium finishes for the San Sebastián club included Telmo Baqueriza Montoro in ILCA 4 and June Zurdo Sánchez with Siri Etxetxikia Jakobsson in the female 420 category.

Meanwhile, the J70 Spanish Open has commenced in the Ría de Vigo. Organized by the Real Club Náutico de Vigo, the event features top national crews competing in General, Corinthian, and Mixed categories. The competition is scheduled to run through Sunday, contingent on weather conditions, with prominent participants including Javier Padrón, Joan Cardona, and Luis Martín Cabiedes.
