Sailing competitions held in Cantabria, Spain

Various sailing regattas took place in the Cantabria region of Spain on October 24 and 25.

In Santander, the 20th edition of the Trofeo Presidenta de Cantabria concluded, serving as the final event for the SRCD Light Sailing Circuit. The competition featured 109 vessels and 139 sailors across six classes, including Optimist, ILCA 4, ILCA 6, Snipe, 29er, and Feva. Notable winners included Neco del Castillo Varela in the ILCA 4 class and Miguel Echavarri in the Optimist class.

Simultaneously, the Cantabria Vaurien Championship was held in Laredo. The local crew of Fernando Sales and Silvia Luengo, representing the Real Club Náutico de Laredo, secured first place after winning five out of six races. The event was organized by the Real Federación Cántabra de Vela and the Real Club Náutico de Laredo.
