Sailing competitions launch in Italy and Liguria

Several offshore sailing events are commencing in Italy. The Argentario Racing Series, organized by the Yacht Club Santo Stefano in collaboration with local sailing clubs, has begun in the Tuscan Archipelago. The event features a diverse fleet of 31 boats, including competitive vessels such as the Comet 45S Race ‘Quattrogatti’ and the Este 39 ‘Atena’. The series also includes historic 6 Metre International boats designed by Sparkman & Stephens.

In the Ligurian Levante, the 51st edition of the Tigullio Winter Championship is scheduled to run from November 8, 2026, to February 14, 2027. The competition will consist of two legs and 22 races across various classes, including ORC, IRC, monotipo, and Rating FIV. The championship will be preceded by the Pre Winter Championship Race on November 7, starting and ending in Lavagna with a passage through Portofino.
