Sailing events held in La Spezia and Venice

The sixth edition of the Vele d’Epoca in Passeggiata Morin concluded in La Spezia, featuring thirty participating vessels. The event included regattas for classic yachts and lateen sails, alongside an elegance contest judged by visitors. Winners in the vintage yacht category included the Margaret (1926), Gazell (1935), and Greylag (1932), while the Onfale (1962) took first place in the classic yacht category.

In Venice, the Veleziana Sailing Week has commenced, organized by the Compagnia della Vela. The program began with the Veleziana Opti regatta held near the Lido di Venice. Following a delay due to lack of wind, competition resumed with three races. Alessandro Vianello won the absolute Division A, while Caterina Vesco secured first place in the female Division A. The sailing week is scheduled to continue through October 18, featuring various regattas and lagoon events.
