Sailing organizations announce 2026 yachting and marina excellence awards
Various sailing and yachting organizations have announced or opened nominations for their 2026 excellence awards across different regions.
The Yacht Harbour Association (TYHA) revealed the winners of its 2026 Marina Awards at the Southampton International Boat Show. Key winners include Poole Quay Boat Haven (Coastal Marina under 250 berths), Cowes Yacht Haven (Coastal Marina over 250 berths), York Marina (Inland), Ayla Marina (International), and Marina De Vilamoura (Superyacht). Parkstone Bay Marina received the Sustainable Marina of the Year award, while Harry Durrah of Emsworth Yacht Harbour was named Marina Employee of the Year.
In New Zealand, the 2026 Barfoot & Thompson Yachting Excellence Awards have selected winners, including Yamaha Motor NZ Service Award recipients Alan Barker of Whangārei Cruising Club and Tash Brasell of Lake Taupo Yacht Club. The full awards ceremony is scheduled for November 6, 2026, at the Royal Akarana Yacht Club.
In the United States, US Sailing has opened nominations for the 2026 Rolex Yachtsman and Yachtswoman of the Year awards. The nomination period remains open until December 31, 2026. Winners will be announced at the inaugural US Sailing Awards Dinner on February 11, 2027, in Chicago.
