Weymouth iQFOiL World Championships see leadership shifts

The 2026 Musto iQFOiL World Championships in Weymouth and Portland have seen significant shifts in the standings due to varying wind conditions. In the women’s fleet, Tamar Steinberg (ISR) has maintained a strong lead, extending her advantage to 44 net points following several race wins.

In the men’s fleet, the leadership has fluctuated. Noah Lyons (USA) regained the overall lead with 36 net points, closely followed by Johan Søe (DEN) with 41 points. The competition remains tight among the top contenders, including Nicolas Goyard (FRA) and Luuc van Opzeeland (NED).

New Zealand’s Veerle ten Have made a significant move into the top 10, climbing to seventh overall after a strong performance in the sprint slalom races. Meanwhile, British sailors Sam Sills, Max Beaman, and Finn Hawkins are actively competing, with Sills working to secure a place in the finals series.
