Sailors Manu Francis and Prince Noble honored for Asian Games silver

Malayali athletes Manu Francis and Prince Noble Kurishingal received a grand reception at Nedumbassery Airport near Ernakulam following their silver medal win in the men’s sailing skiff category at the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan.

The duo secured the silver medal with 23 net points across nine races. Their path to the podium involved significant challenges on the final day, including technical boat issues and strong winds caused by a cyclone. After slipping to fourth position due to these setbacks, they regained second place through a strong performance in the final race, ultimately securing silver over the third-place team based on race finishing positions.
