SailPoint shares rise following new AI security announcements
SailPoint shares saw a price increase on Wednesday, opening at $20.37 after a previous close of $19.91. The upward movement follows positive sentiment from financial analysts, including Oppenheimer, which initiated coverage with an ‘Outperform’ rating and a $30 price target, and Scotiabank, which raised its price target to $24.
At its Navigate conference in Austin, SailPoint introduced new technologies focused on the ‘agentic era,’ including Autonomous Agents and Autonomous Identity Security Posture Management. These tools are designed to discover AI agents, automate remediation, and enforce policies to manage the growing number of non-human identities. CEO Mark McClain noted that autonomous agents and service accounts now significantly outnumber human identities in many enterprises.
Company leadership emphasized the need to treat human and agent identities as a single problem to maintain accountability. SailPoint also announced platform upgrades, including expanded Human Fabric capabilities and IdentityIQ 9.0, aimed at modernizing its cloud and on-premises offerings.
