Saint-Brieuc Fonderie hosts open house for heritage days

Saint-Brieuc Fonderie (SBF) opened its doors to the public on Saturday, October 3, as part of the Economic Heritage Days. Located in the Robien district, the metallurgical plant has a history dating back to 1928.

The facility, which employs 75 people and reports an annual turnover of €10 million, allowed visitors to observe the entire production cycle. This process includes everything from initial design and molding studies to machining, finishing, and quality control, typically spanning between fourteen days and over a month.

The event drew various attendees, including local residents and former employees, to explore the industrial history of the nearly century-old company.
