Saint-Dié-des-Vosges to host La FIGue-OFF landscape debate

Environmental associations in the Vosges region are launching the first edition of La FIGue-OFF, a series of citizen meetings focused on landscapes and their transformation. The event will take place from October 2 to 4, 2026, at Café La Paranthose in Saint-Dié-des-Vosges.

Organized by SOS Massif des Vosges in partnership with Vosges Nature Environnement, Oiseaux Nature, and ATTAC 88, the initiative runs alongside the International Geography Festival (FIG). The organizers stated the event is not intended to oppose the FIG but rather to provide an independent space for public dialogue regarding the landscapes inhabited by local residents and the decisions that shape them.

The program includes five free sessions open to the public: film debates, writing workshops, conferences, a citizen café, and a closing debate featuring text and music. The goal is to encourage active participation, allowing citizens to examine arguments and explore collective ways to act regarding territorial changes.
