Saint Dominic de Guzmán celebrated through religious messages and pilgrimages
On August 8, celebrations were held in honor of Saint Dominic de Guzmán. In Buenos Aires, Father César Garcés Rojas, President of Fasta, issued a fraternal letter to the members of the Milician City. He encouraged the community to renew their evangelical vocation and deepen their Dominican identity, describing Saint Dominic as a man "passionate for the Truth" who taught that preaching stems from prayer, study, and community.
In 9 de Julio, the community held a religious procession to commemorate the patron saint's feast day. The pilgrimage began at the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fatima and concluded at the Cathedral of Saint Dominic de Guzmán. The image of the saint was carried by the Volunteer Firefighters Corps, accompanied by families, youth, and various community groups. The event included prayers for the sick and families, emphasizing the call to holiness in daily life.
