Saint Joachim of Osogovo Monastery to host religious celebrations

The Kumanovo-Osogovo Eparchy of the Macedonian Orthodox Church – Ohrid Archbishopric has announced a series of religious celebrations at the Saint Joachim of Osogovo Monastery near Kriva Palanka. The festivities, scheduled for August 27–29, 2026, honor the Dormition of the Mother of God on August 28 and the feast day of Saint Joachim of Osogovo on August 29.

Founded in the 12th century, the monastery is a significant spiritual site that houses the relics of Saint Joachim of Osogovo, an 11th-century hermit and miracle worker, as well as the relics of Saint Joachim Krchovski.

The program includes morning liturgies, Holy Hierarchical Liturgies, and evening services. On August 29, the celebrations will conclude with the blessing of festive breads and holy water.
