Prime Minister of Saint Kitts and Nevis, Dr. Terrance M. Drew, has been hospitalized and is scheduled to be transported abroad for specialized observation and precautionary monitoring.

Dr. Drew was admitted to the Joseph N. France (JNF) General Hospital on the evening of Sunday, August 30, 2026, after experiencing symptoms including nausea, headache, and mild discomfort. Following 18 hours of clinical evaluation and diagnostic reviews, medical specialists reported that the Prime Minister remains awake, alert, and in stable condition.

The decision to move the Prime Minister overseas was made by his medical team as a precautionary measure. The government has stated that the business of government will continue without interruption during his recovery.
