Saint Laurent presents gold-themed Spring/Summer 2027 collection in Paris

Designer Anthony Vaccarello presented the Saint Laurent Spring/Summer 2027 collection at the Trocadéro in Paris, featuring a heavy emphasis on gold. The show, set against the backdrop of the Eiffel Tower, utilized massive gold chandeliers as part of its visual storytelling. Of the 59 looks presented, 49 were rendered in various gold textures, including lamé, brocade, lace, and metallic cotton.

The collection concluded with a transition to black, a finale led by supermodel Anja Rubik and featuring a performance by Charlotte Gainsbourg. While the house has not officially commented on his future, industry observers have noted the show's symbolic nature as a potential farewell for Vaccarello after a decade with the brand.

The presentation occurred amidst a shifting landscape for the French luxury sector. While Saint Laurent’s parent company, Kering, has seen a return to growth, other brands like Gucci and Balenciaga continue to face market pressures. The event highlighted Paris's ability to maintain high-scale glamour despite broader economic fluctuations in the luxury industry.
