Saint Laurent presents light, translucent‑shoe Spring/Summer 2027 collection at Paris Fashion Week

Designer Anthony Vaccarello previewed Saint Laurent's Spring/Summer 2027 menswear collection during Paris Fashion Week, noting that the ongoing French heat wave demanded "something very easy, very, very light." The runway was set in the cool, climate‑controlled lower level of the Bourse de Commerce, with a sunny rotunda showcasing soft, unlined jackets, paper‑thin knits and a palette of pale blues and bright peach tones.

A striking feature of the show was the pair of transparent, plastic (TPU) pointy‑toe shoes, described by Vaccarello as a masculine reinterpretation of the brand's previous fetish‑inspired footwear. He said the line walks "the fine line between classy and kinky," adding that wearing them with socks would defeat their purpose. Model and Saint Laurent ambassador Connor Storrie wore the shoes with a matching trench coat on the runway.

The presentation opened with an immersive fog sculpture titled Cloud #07156 by Japanese artist Fujiko Nakaya, which filled the rotunda with vapor and underscored the collection’s theme of presence versus absence.
