Saint Lucia selects teams for 2026 Commonwealth and CAC Games

The Saint Lucia Olympic Committee announced a compact delegation for the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland. Only three male sprinters qualified – Khailan Vitalis (110 m hurdles), Michael Joseph (400 m) and Marvric Pamphile (400 m) – after meeting the required standards three times within the set period. Olympic 100 m champion Julien Alfred will not compete in Glasgow.

For the XXV Central American and Caribbean Games in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, a 26‑member squad will represent Saint Lucia across seven sports. The contingent includes sailor Luc Chevrier, golfer Yadhu Urs, debutants in weightlifting Raiven Gabriel and Jennica Albert, boxers John Didier, Kyghan Mortley and Donaii Cooman, a six‑player table‑tennis team, and a netball side featuring Megan Nestor and Dasha Eugene. The selections follow qualification criteria set by international federations and aim to build a pathway toward the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games.
