Saint Ludmila commemorations held at Basilica in Prague-Vinohrady

Commemorations for the Czech princess Saint Ludmila were held at the Basilica of Saint Ludmila in Prague-Vinohrady. The events included a pilgrimage mass celebrated by emeritus bishop Jan Baxant and a traditional concert dedicated to the saint.

During the mass, the ‘Saint Ludmila Chalice’ award was presented to Martin Hrdlička, the mayor of Tetín and chairman of the Saint Ludmila association, for his efforts in preserving the saint's legacy. The musical tribute featured works by Antonín Dvořák, including the Missa in D major and Te Deum, performed by the Harmonia Praga orchestra, the Charles University choir, and various soloists under the direction of Štefan Britvík.
