Saint Martin police seek armed suspect in double murder investigation
The Korps Politie Sint Maarten (KPSM) and the Prosecutor's Office are renewing their search for a suspect in the ongoing “Alligator” double murder investigation. The suspect, identified as Brent Dain Danglade (also known as John Dawn Emmanuel), is considered armed and dangerous.
The investigation stems from the fatal shooting of Damon Sylvester, a Trinidad and Tobago national, and Denisha Delancy, a United States citizen, on March 2, 2026, in Saint Martin. Investigators believe Sylvester was the intended target, while Delancy was an unintended victim who was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
While one individual is currently in preventive detention for complicity, the alleged shooter remains at large. Authorities noted that Danglade/Emmanuel frequently changes his appearance and has an elongated tattoo on the inside of his right forearm. Police are also investigating whether individuals associated with the victim have assisted the suspect in evading capture.
