Saint-Maur-des-Fossés: Suspected femicide attempt and suicide attempt

A woman in Saint-Maur-des-Fossés, Val-de-Marne, was seriously injured during a suspected femicide attempt on Sunday evening. The victim, a woman in her forties, sustained knife wounds to her throat and abdomen. Her two children were present in the home at the time of the violence.

The suspect, the victim's partner, reportedly jumped from a second-story window following the attack. While both individuals were seriously injured, the Créteil prosecutor's office announced on Tuesday that their lives are no longer in danger. An investigation into attempted homicide by a spouse has been opened.
