Saint Michael festivities held in Braga region

Religious and cultural festivities in honor of Saint Michael are taking place across different locations in the Braga region of Portugal.

In Azagães, Carregosa, a local committee organized the celebrations starting in late July following the absence of a traditional steward team. The program includes musical performances by the Banda de Música de Carregosa and the Banda Marcial de Bairos, alongside religious processions and community gatherings. The festivities are scheduled to conclude with traditional folk activities and musical performances.

In Frossos, organizers reported record-breaking attendance during the Saint Michael celebrations. The event featured a diverse lineup of musical acts and community participation. The schedule includes religious processions, fireworks, and traditional folk singing, with the festivities set to conclude on October 5.
