Saint-Nazaire residents report series of slashed tires

A series of targeted vandalism incidents has occurred in the Prézégat district of Saint-Nazaire. Since August 26, 2026, at least 12 vehicles parked near a residential building on Rue Edgar-Degas have had their tires slashed.

In total, 28 tires have been damaged. Residents report that the damage appears intentional, describing marks that look like they were made by a knife blade. The incidents have caused significant disruption, leaving many motorists unable to commute to work or school. While formal complaints have been filed, no arrests have been made, and local residents have expressed growing concerns regarding neighborhood security and the potential for further attacks.
