Saint-Ouen inaugurates M. Chat sculpture

The city of Saint-Ouen has inaugurated a metallic sculpture of the famous street art character M. Chat. Located at the corner of Rue Albert-Dhalenne and Rue de la Clé des Champs, the artwork was created by Franco-Swiss artist Thoma Vuille, who resides in the commune.

M. Chat, known for its enigmatic smile and orange-yellow coloring, has become a global street art icon appearing in cities such as New York and Seoul. The municipality stated that the installation aims to make art accessible within public spaces and support contemporary creation. Local children from the PEF leisure center and the Children's Municipal Council also participated in creative workshops inspired by the character prior to the inauguration.
