Saint Rita devotion services held in Polish parishes

Religious services and pilgrimages dedicated to Saint Rita of Cascia, the patron saint of difficult and hopeless causes, are being held in several parishes within the Siedlce Diocese.

In Cielętniki, the Parish of the Transfiguration celebrated its 60th service to Saint Rita. Pilgrims travel from various regions, including Piaseczno, Przedborze, and Radomsko, to visit the saint's relics kept near the presbytery. The local cult was established over five years ago by parish priest Piotr Rutkowski.

In Połoski, the Holy Trinity Parish is hosting ceremonies including the Rosary, the Litany to Saint Rita, and the Eucharist. The event features a figure of the saint decorated with 365 roses, symbolizing the days of the year. Local officials, including the Bialski County Starosta and councilors, are expected to attend. Other scheduled services in the diocese include locations in Siedlce, Wiśniew, Borki, Garwolin, and Międzyrzec Podlaski.
