Saint Seire Christopher High School captain's birthday at Koshien practice

The third‑year shortstop Ayuma Oshima, captain of Saint Seire Christopher High School, celebrated his birthday on the day of the team's Koshien practice ahead of the 108th National High School Baseball Championship. Oshima said he was happy to be at Koshien on his birthday but would have preferred to play a game. The team opens the tournament on June 6 against Sano University (Sano Nihon Daigaku) from Tochigi.

Separately, Asia College has launched a crowdfunding campaign on the Syncable platform to fund a West Japan training trip for its students at the Seire Seijo welfare organization in Hamamatsu. The campaign, running until September 30, seeks support for community‑service learning that highlights the historic mission of the Seire group, which began by caring for tuberculosis patients and now operates in medical, welfare, and educational fields across western Shizuoka.
