Saints and Falcons face off in Monday Night Football rivalry

The New Orleans Saints will host the Atlanta Falcons in a Monday Night Football matchup on Oct. 5 at the Caesars Superdome. The game marks a significant chapter in a rivalry dating back to 1967, with Atlanta holding a narrow 58-56 lead in the all-time series.

Atlanta enters the game following an upset victory over the Packers led by quarterback Michael Penix Jr., improving their record after an 0-2 start. New Orleans holds a 1-2 record, having recently struggled with fourth-quarter turnovers. Betting oddsmakers have positioned the Saints as 2.5-point home favorites.

The matchup also serves as a commemoration of the 2006 “Domecoming” game, which marked the Saints’ return to the Superdome following Hurricane Katrina.
