Saiseikai Mukojima Hospital experiences system failure

Saiseikai Mukojima Hospital in Tokyo has reported a medical information system failure that has rendered electronic medical records and other digital tools unusable.

As a result, the hospital is currently only accepting patients with existing appointments. Walk-in patients are being turned away. Staff are managing reception and guidance manually, which is causing longer wait times than usual.

The hospital stated that the issue was caused by equipment failure rather than a cyberattack, and there has been no confirmed leak of personal information. There is currently no estimated timeline for the restoration of services.
