Sakaneya and Izumo Herb Garden launch new herb-infused traditional sweets

Sakaneya, a long-standing traditional Japanese confectionery shop, and Izumo Herb Garden Kamigami no Niwa have collaborated to launch a new line of herb-infused sweets. The products, which incorporate herb water distilled using water from the Hamayama Spring Group—selected as one of Japan's top 100 water sources—include ‘Izumo Herb no Shizuku’ (amber sugar) and ‘Izumo Herb no En’ (miniature fresh sweets).

The sweets feature scents of holy basil, lemongrass, and mint. The collaboration is inspired by the personal connection between the representatives of the two organizations, who are a married couple.

Sales began on August 26, 2026, at Abeno Harukas in Osaka, with subsequent availability planned for Izumo Kiyora, Sakaneya retail locations, and online stores. The partners aim to use these products to promote the natural charms of Izumo both domestically and internationally.
