Sake Marche festival in Kanazawa supports earthquake recovery

The ‘Sake Marche’ festival was held at Shiinoki Green Park in Kanazawa, featuring local gourmet food and sake from 25 breweries in Ishikawa Prefecture. This event marked the first festival organized by the newly integrated Ishikawa Prefecture Sake Brewers Association.

A central theme of the event was supporting recovery efforts through the slogan ‘Drink and Support.’ A portion of the proceeds is designated to assist breweries in the Noto Peninsula that were heavily impacted by the earthquake. The festival also featured sake from Kumamoto to support recovery in that region following its own major earthquake experience.

To encourage interest among younger generations, the event introduced the ‘U29 Sake Pass,’ offering discounted sake to attendees aged 20 to 29.
