Sakhnin announces commemoration program for October Uprising

The municipality of Sakhnin and the local popular committee have announced a program to commemorate the anniversary of the October Uprising, scheduled for Saturday, October 3, 2026. The events will involve local residents and various popular delegations, with activities distributed between Sakhnin and the city of Araba.

The program begins at 09:00 with a gathering at the Sakhnin municipal square, followed by visits to the homes of the victims' families. At 10:30, participants will move to the memorial to lay wreaths on the graves of the city's victims. In the afternoon, the High Follow-up Committee for the Arab Masses is expected to arrive at the memorial at 14:30 to participate in wreath-laying ceremonies.

At 15:00, a mass march will depart from the municipal square on foot toward Araba. This will lead into the central memorial march, which is scheduled to launch from Araba at 16:00, featuring delegations from various Arab towns. Organizers emphasized that wide participation is essential to honor the victims and preserve their memory within the collective consciousness.
