Sakina Kalamour sentenced to 10 months prison and 3-year social media ban

The Marrakech Court of First Instance has sentenced influencer Sakina Djinah, known as ‘Sakina Kalamour’, to ten months in prison and a 500 dirham fine for public indecency.

The ruling, issued on Monday, August 17, 2026, includes a notable additional penalty: a three-year ban from using or appearing on any social media platforms. This decision prohibits her from digital interaction and public appearances on these platforms for the duration of the ban.

The case originated from a live broadcast in which the influencer promoted lingerie. Judicial authorities determined that the content included indecent exposure of sensitive body parts, violating public decency laws. Following an investigation by security services, she was arrested at Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca while preparing to depart the country. The court's decision follows proceedings related to Article 483 of the Penal Code.
