Sakis Arnautoglou discusses family and personal loss

Sakis Arnautoglou, a meteorologist and Member of the European Parliament for PASOK, recently spoke about his personal life, his relationship with his brother Grigoris Arnautoglou, and the passing of his mother.

Reflecting on his family history, he noted that while he was born in Thessaloniki, his brother was born in Germany. He described Grigoris as a source of happiness and resilience.

Arnautoglou also shared a poignant account of his mother’s battle with Alzheimer’s disease. He described the shock of her declining health, noting that she lost significant weight, reaching approximately 24 to 25 kilograms, and became unrecognizable. He expressed that while the loss was devastating, there was a sense of relief that her suffering had ended.
