Canelo Álvarez to face Christian Mbilli in Riyadh championship bout

The full fight card for the “Mexico vs. The World” event has been announced, scheduled for October 31 at the ANB Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as part of the Riyadh Season. The main event features Saúl “Canelo” Álvarez facing Christian Mbilli for the WBC super-middleweight championship.

In addition to the headline bout, the event includes three other world title fights. Jaime Munguia is set to defend his WBA super-middleweight title against Nikita Zon, while Rafael Espinoza will defend his WBO featherweight title against Lorenzo Parra. Lindolfo Delgado will compete against Arthur Biyarslanov for the vacant IBF super-lightweight title.

Other scheduled bouts include David Picasso versus Carl Martin. While the card is highly anticipated, some analysts have raised questions regarding the competitiveness of certain matchups and the potential impact of regional security concerns on the event's execution.
