Sakina Hallouz completes pastry apprenticeship with top marks

Sakina Hallouz, a 24-year-old from Kassel, has successfully completed her apprenticeship as a pastry chef, graduating with the highest exam scores in her class. Hallouz decided to abandon her nutrition science studies at the University of Giessen because she found the academic environment unappealing compared to her lifelong passion for baking.

After searching for opportunities across Germany, she secured a position at Backhaus Streiter in her hometown of Kassel, beginning her training in August. Despite the challenge of adjusting to early morning shifts starting at 2:00 or 5:00 AM, she excelled in mastering the production of various sweets, including cakes, tarts, and pastries.
